These are not your basic tiny homes. This tome is chock full of high style, creative, contemporary dwellings that meld gorgeously with their surroundings and space constrictions. I especially enjoyed how the homes were catalogued-by the environment they were in--urban, countryside, by the water, etc. Whether you are actually considering building a tiny house or not, this book offers stunning architecture and creative space solutions that would appeal to anyone interested in design.
This book is perfect for me, having just bought a small (700sf) modern cabin in the woods of California, it had all the relevant inspirational ideas I need to remodel. This is NOT a book for traditional cabin (I.e. log, gambrel or A frame) or small home (bungalow or craftsman) ideas, this has a very modern contemporary editorial slant and knowing that, this is not for everyone. Very happy with this purchase, but I can see where traditionalists will not enjoy.
their version of tiny homes and mine are not the same....to me 1900+ sq foot home is not small to me....so much of this not realistic for Tiny Homes
Many homes were normal or large size homes, there were a few legitimate tiny/small homes. They show design ideas and suggest you could incorporate it into your tiny home design. Found more and better ideas online searches for free.
The title is misleading. The houses in this book are bot “homesâ€. They are design concepts built as a weekend getaway house for multi millionaires.As someone looking to build a dream tiny house this books has not helped me.That being said there are amazing houses in this book and its a collection to have
Set up the way I like a book about houses. Lots of different houses. Great pictures inside and out and with house plans.
An excellent book.
I like the concept and the contents, but the printing quality is questionable. the color is off and all the pictures feel a bit blur, not crisp clear, might caused by low printing dpi.
