"Trade paperback" does not do this book justice. It weighs 47 ounces, one ounce short of 3 pounds, with 368 pages. The plates are sized to FILL the pages. Progressive advances in printing technology make these plates better than even those of ten years ago. The gamut, saturation, and dot pitch are state of the art. The separations are perfectly registered. The very inks are more vivid, applied to heavily sized paper similar to Bristol. I find myself nearly as satisfied as visiting the actual exhibitions. possibly more so, because no museum guard is stopping me from putting my nose to the plates.If you haven't tried an art book lately, this is the one to try.
