This is the book I used to prepare for the CNRN. I bought it on the kindle and then was able to have it on my iPad at home and my iPhone when I was away from home and wanted to study. There are great pictorials and charts, bookmark and highlight options with the kindle version, and very good clinical pearls noted in each chapter. I used a wide variety of study aids throughout the time I spent studying for the exam, but this was my go-to. (And I just passed my CNRN exam yesterday!)
Although this book seems to be full of great neuro information and topics, the amount of typos are unbelievable! It detracts from my reading and makes me wonder whether I can actually trust what I'm reading
As a new Neuro ICU nurse, I was directed by staff to this book to use as a supplement alongside on the job training. It is easy to navigate through and I carry it with me everyday as my neuro bible. Added bonus- our units pharamacist cowrote the pharmacology portion! Get this book!!!
