I found " Mike Jacobs" Book very good & also moving. I would recommend this book for everyone who has read or learning of the Holocaust. Having read other accounts of what happened, while on vacation in Eastern Europe, including Poland, went to see Auschwitz in 2000. It was a hard place to see as knowing what happened there. Really made me think, how anyone survived from there. In his book, Mr. Jacobs pretty much expressed he goal to survive, which myself am grateful He did to tell his story & to go on in a positive way of life. While I was there in the camp, did say a prayer for all those who were murdered in the Holocaust.I have a Jewish Friend Who actually lives in FT. Worth & has met him during one of His talks. I mentioned after I had read the book, He said Mr. Jacobs is like his book describes him, A Wonderful Person. Lastly if ever did get the honor of meeting Him, Would gladly Shake His Hand & say Shalom, My Friend!

Anyone who can experience what he went through without feeling bitterness towards ALL Germans must be some kind of saint.

I met this man many years ago, his message is compelling and important.

Holocaust Survivor is one the finest books I have ever read on the matter. Mr. Jacobs being only 14 years of age, started a tragic adventure which in the end he survived thanks to his courage, his faith, his positive thinking and in the middle of all of that tragedy a fine sense of humor and a generous heart. My every day life problems became to nothing, after reading this book. It is an eye opener, we must have faith andd hope, we will get what we want from life if work for these in the right way. Excellent book that tells first-hand how a holocaust survivor was able to survive.

I had the privilege of spending an afternoon with Mr. Jacobs when I was a junior in high school and working on a research project. In this book, I can still hear his voice as if he were speaking to me. How awesome it is to have a written record of his story!

Every one in this country should read this - they had no idea what was just about to happen to them, and it could happen here!!!
